Seven Years On Segway Hits its stride, er, glide

Who would have thought global warming would be good for New Hampshire?

Well it’s good for one New Hampshire company anyway.

The Segway, which was once mega-hyped and then dismissed as a fad, is now hot according to a report in the Wall Street Journal today.

“I used to joke that the only people I saw riding Segways were the rent-a-cops at the airport,” one Granite Stater told Now! Hampshire. “Now I’m thinking about buying one.”

The Manchester, NH company claims a sales increase of 50% this quarter over last year.

Apparently, exorbitant gas prices and growing consciousness about global warming is convincing more Americans they should consider gas-free travel.
